Speaker Series: Trish Bhansali (Lekha Designs) @1834 Club in the LBC
Lekha (pronounced LAY·ka) is named after Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia (1919-2001), formerly Lekha Divyeshwari Devi, a leader in the early stages of the bjp, the leading political party of post-independence India, and a woman who embodied conviction, courage, and strength. We are devoted to following in her footsteps, honoring our authentic relationship with India by partnering with Indian artisans to remedy the effects of gender bias on economic opportunities and independence.

Coming together with Ryan’s Giving Tree, we collected, spread the word, and distributed 1,000 clothing items, 250 pairs of shoes, and 250 hygiene kits filled with essentials like socks, tampons, pads, soap, and more.
We were fortunate to partner with Walmart and CCFC, generously provided homemade meals, pots of gumbo, beverages, tables, chairs, and other amenities to create a welcoming, supportive environment for everyone involved.
GET INVOLVED: marketing, clothing pickups, tabling, partner outreach, day-of volunteers, transportation, logistics
