Friendships & Fashion: Rome Diaries
As I embark on this exciting adventure, I look around in the faces of the new. New culture, new fashion, new friendships!
Rome is an entirely different world from the United States. We eat at 8 pm and you must buy an Aperol spritz! Life is changing entirely for me but I’m already learning to love it, especially with the friendships and fashion that have hugged me with tight arms. For Rome, in the winter, coats and leather jackets are normal. No one is seen in sweatpants! Dress to impress is the motto here. If you wanted more evidence, I had my lovely new friends describe Rome fashion to you. Tulane, say hi to them!
Gia would describe it as a “trench coat, scarves, put together”. I couldn’t agree more.
Store after store is stacked in scarves and trench coats. When in Rome, buy a trench coat! Hana and Annie are screaming “Sophisticated”! The Italians know what’s best and it’s being business casual. Lily says “Modest” and Sienna echoes “Classic”. Two words that describe Rome fashion perfectly. Never will it go out of style (Taylor Swift can relate)! Last but definitely not least, Anna calls it “chic and edgy”. A lil punk with your business casual. What a way to dress!
With beautiful new friendships, I can say “What a time to be alive”! I’m doing what the Romans would do and blossoming my horizons. Luckily for me, I met amazing people to share the adventure with me. Life is all about risks. So, book that one-way ticket! Meet people and fashion choices from all around. You won’t regret it. Friendships and fashion! The best of both worlds!
