The Wounded Deer, Frida Kahlo 1946 The Wounded Deer: Known for her iconic unibrow, expression of culture through florals, and disability leaving her in a wheelchair for much of her life. The black bow top represents her unibrow, the flowers represent Mexican culture, and the bow around the neck shows the constraint Frida often felt in life due to her disability.

This look was made to look like a caricature of famous portraits she has done of even more famous people.”

Dress made of hand woven silk, pleated into the shape of a flower with peplum petals, and a 4 yard veil with hand hand embroidered flowers and my grandmother’s signature at the bottom in red to ward off evil.”
